The power cutback unit
allows for the reduction in transmitter power required for FCC
approved pre-sunrise or post-sunset power levels when the
transmitter power could not be internally reduced to the desired
power level without inducing excessive audio distortion.
The power cutback unit consists of a resistive power divider
network coupled into an L-C network to match the output impedance to
the desired value. Up to three selectable reduced power levels are
available in addition to a bypass mode which directly links the
transmitter to the antenna system.
Rack Mountable Controllers with transmitter switching
and both remote and local control of selected power levels can be
supplied.
