During the month of May, Macon Community Hospital is offering Free Vitamin D Screenings. No appointment required, just drop by Monday thru Friday between 7-5pm. Call 615-666-2147 for more information.

Soulfire Ministries Discount General Store at 116 Main Street is a non-profit faith based store where everyone is welcome. Hours are Mon-Sat. 10am – 7pm.

Sign Ups are open for Macon County Public Library System’s 2026 Summer Reading Program. Sign up at either location during May.

Macon Community Hospital will have a Parkinson Support Group Meeting, Wednesday at 3pm.

City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Monday’s garbage will be picked up Tuesday.

The American Legion will have a Memorial Day Service, Monday at 11am at the Courthouse on Lafayette Public Square.

Haysville Cemetery Decoration will be Friday thru Sunday. Donations are appreciated and needed for upkeep. They may be made at the cemetery or mailed to Patricia Hargis, 1404 Flippin Drive in Lafayette.

Davis Cemetery Decoration at Russell Hill will be Sunday at 2pm.

The Will Gregory Cemetery will have decoration service Sunday at 2pm with preaching by Bro Jerry Shrum. Donations for upkeep may be made to John O. Smith, Treasurer at 524 Gum Springs Road, Lafayette or to committeemen. For more information call 615-388-2056.

Bro Samuel Skeyere will preach at Maple Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.

Bro Gavin Clayborne will preach at Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.

Bro Brody Clariday will preach at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.

The Jeff Sneed Trio will sing at Jones Chapel Methodist Church in Elkhorn, KY, Sunday at 10am.
