Macon Community Hospital is offering discounted Vascular Screenings during July. The Carotid Artery Ultrasound, AAA Ultrasound and ABI Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening are $40 each or $110 for all 3 during July. Call 615-666-2147 for more information.

Lafayette Playhouse and Event Center will host a Community Hero’s Day, Saturday from noon until 2pm. This is a free event for the community to come out and meet your local 911 Hero’s.

The Food Pantry at Lafayette Methodist Church will be open Thursday from noon until 2pm.

Summer Harvest a USDA Program will be handing out 7 shelf stable breakfasts & lunches each Tuesday through July 28th at First Baptist Church in Lafayette from 2-4:30pm. This is for ages 18 and under, name and date of birth is all that will be needed.

The Budget Committee will meet Monday evening at 5pm in the Administration Building Meeting Room.

The Macon County Legislative Body will meet in Regular Session, Monday night at 6:30pm.

The Macon County Planning Commission will meet, Tuesday evening at 6pm at the Macon County Welcome Center.

An Effort Meeting is in progress at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church, with nightly services at 7pm. Elders Jason Goad and Tucker Smith will be preaching.

Bro James Harrison will preach at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday night at 6pm.

Revival will begin at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday with services at 11am & 7pm daily. Bro Britt Little will assist Pastor Bro Shawn Shoulders.

Bro Lucas Shoulders will preach at Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.

Revival will begin at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday with nightly services at 7pm. Bro Benji Blackwell will be assisted by Bro Brad Whittemore and Bro Carter Robinson.
