During the month of August Macon Community Hospital is offering $50 low dose computed tomography lung cancer screenings. Call 615-666-2147 to make an appointment.

Lafayette City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day. Monday’s trash will be picked up Wednesday (9/3).

Lafayette Masonic Lodge #543 will have a Master Mason degree, Saturday. Potluck breakfast starts at 7am and degree work will follow at 8am.

The Stephens Center invites you to A Barn Bash at 2258 Henson Road in Red Boiling Springs, Saturday from 5-8pm. Bring the whole family for BBQ, cake walk, silent auction and good music. Ages 16 and up - $15, ages 4-15 - $5 and ages 3 and under free. All proceeds benefit The Stephens Center for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in the Upper Cumberland.

The Committee of the Whole of the County Commission of Macon County will meet, Tuesday night at 6:30pm in the Legislative meeting room at the Administration Building.
