During the month of September Macon Community Hospital is offering Free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings. This simple blood test measures PSA levels, which could help with the early detection of cancer risk. No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome! Call 615-666-2147 for more information.
The Mt. Hermon Community Center will have a family friendly dance Saturday night featuring Little David and Bad Country. Doors open at 6pm and the dance starts at 7pm.
Macon County High School will have Financial Aid Night where you’ll learn about ways to pay for college and more, this evening at 6pm in the high school auditorium. Everyone is welcome.
A tent revival is in progress beside the gas station near the high school and will be going thru Friday night with nightly services at 7pm.
Jonathan Wilburn and Jeff Tolbert and Primitive Road will appear at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday night at 6pm. Admission is free, a love offering will be taken.
Bro Jimmy Lankford will preach at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.
Bro Chase Greenhalgh will preach at Days Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday night at 6pm.
Fountain Run Missionary Old Baptist Church will have Homecoming, Sunday. Sunday school at 10am, preaching at 11am by Bro Terry Dismon. Dinner on the grounds and singing by The Smith Family will follow the morning service.
Bro Kevin Harrison will preach at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 11am.
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, will call off Sunday morning services to support Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in their Effort Meeting. Bro Thomas Apple will preach at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday night at 6pm.
A Barren County Reunion Singing will take place, Saturday night at 6pm in the Barren County High School Auditorium in Glasgow. This event is free and open to the public.
