The Red Boiling Springs Folk Medicine Festival is searching for responsible individuals to volunteer in the children’s game/ride area. The festival is June 4th from 9-5pm. If you are interested contact Laura Merlo at 615-699-0152.


There will be a prayer meeting, Monday at 7pm at the home of Priscilla Shockley at 1499 Isom Bradley Rd. with preaching by Kelly Bonds.


Kyle Reid will preach at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 6pm.

Macon County General Hospital will have CPR classes for BLS and CPR/First Aid in the month of May. If interested in classes call 615-666-2147 to schedule. The cost of the class will be $30.


All Macon County property owners, contractors, developers, real estate agents and all others involved in buying and selling real estate are invited to a public meeting at 7:30am Wednesday in the courtroom on the second floor in the courthouse.


Ebeneezer Missionary Baptist Church will have an all day service, Sunday starting at 10:30am. Preaching, lunch followed by singing by the Smith Family in the afternoon.


Senior Awards Night at Macon County High School will be May 5th at 6pm in the Nera White Gymnasium. Seniors receiving scholarships and academic honors will be recognized.

Bro Troy Swindle will preach at Macon Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday at 6pm.

The Macon County Public Library and Vision 2020 have teamed up to offer a series of free Lunchtime Workshops, starting May 2nd. Citizens Bank will have their May Dayz Health Fair, May 6th at the Sally Wells Building from 7-10am. This free and open to the public.


The Committee of a Whole of the County Commission will meet at 7pm, Monday at the courthouse.


The MCHS Baccalaureate Ceremony will be Sunday at 3pm in the J.Y. Carter Auditorium and will be conducted by local ministers.


The Annual Rabies Vaccination Clinics will be the entire month of May, for a fee of $10 per pet, call one of these clinics to get your pets rabies vaccination – Evetts Animal Clinic, Macon County Veterinary Hospital & Macon Trousdale Veterinary Clinic.


The Macon County High School Band will host their annual Craft Fair, Cake Walk & Auction, tonight with the craft fair & cake walk at 5pm and the auction at 7pm.


Green Grove Cemetery’s Annual Decoration will be Friday, May 6th thru Sunday, May 8th. Everyone is invited and any donations can be sent to Green Grove Cemetery c/o Karen Luhrs at 2255 Honeysuckle Rd. Hartsville, TN  37074.


The City of Red Boiling Springs is accepting applications for a full time utility worker. Applicants must have a valid TN drivers license and high school diploma or equivalent. Starting salary will be $11 an hour. They are also accepting applications for a part-time codes inspector. Applicants must have a valid TN drivers license. Applications for both positions may be picked up at RBS City Hall thru May 4th.


Red Boiling Springs Lions Club is sponsoring an Educator/Support Staff of the Year Essay Contest. RBS students K-4th essay should be 50-75 words, 5th – Junior High essay 200 + words and High School’s essay should be 250 + words. Prizes will be awarded for the student and their nominee. Essay’s should be turned into Ms. Margie or Ms. Linda by May 2nd.
