Help the Macon Marching Tigers “pink” out this October and help local cancer patients by donating $15.00 in honor or in memory of your loved one. 100% over the cost goes to Sherry’s Run to help local patients fighting cancer. Revival in progress at Macon Missionary Baptist Church nightly at 7pm with preaching by Wayne Deering and helpers Ronnie Harrison and Joey Uhls. Day services will be held at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church at 11am due to classes being held at Macon Missionary Baptist Church.  Services nightly at 7pm at Macon Missionary Baptist Church.

 

The Macon/Trousdale County FSA office will be closed today thru Wednesday due to training on the new Farm Bill. The office will reopen on the Thursday at 7am.

 

Westside Elementary School will host a Scholastic Book Fair today thru Friday .

 

The 1st grade and life skills classes at Fairlane Elementary will be celebrating Grandparent’s Day today, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am until 10am each day. The teachers have send notes home about this event. Please call the school at 615-666-2970 with any questions.

Events at the Macon County Senior Citizens Center Tuesday will be SilverSneakers MSROM at 10am and Line Dancing at 1pm.

 

Macon County Right to Life will meet at the Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center Tuesday night at 6:30pm. The meeting will take about 3o minutes and will help you get informed about Amendment 1. For more information call 615-633-2035.

The Lafayette United Methodist Church will be hosting a Spaghetti supper and bake sale Friday night 4:30 pm until 7pm at the church. Meals cost children 12 and under $5.00 each and adults $7.00 each.

 

Macon County Senior Citizens Center will have a Cake Walk Friday night at 6pm.

 

Celebrations Magazine presents Karing Bout Kids Friday night at the Del Monaco Winery. Tickets can be purchase by calling the Stephens Center at 1-931-823-6432. This event will benefit Court Appointed special advocates for children.

 

Calvary Baptist Church will present its 5th annual Radio Show Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm. The church is located at 6851 Highway 52 east between Lafayette and Red Boiling Springs.

Red Boiling Springs and Macon County High School FFA students will be hosting a cookout as a fundraiser Saturday 10:30am until 2:30 pm in front of TSC.

VFW post 7135 will hold its annual fish fry Saturday at 119 Main Street in Lafayette serving begins at 3pm plates will cost $7.00 a plate.

 

The Haganator, a motor cross and atv cross country race, will be held at 2791 Oak Grove Road in Red Boiling Springs Saturday and Sunday. This event funds the Hagan Mathews Hix Scholarship Fund. For more information call 615-888-7529 or like the face book page The Haganator at Rosehill.

 

Everyone is invited to a celebration of Lady Bulldog basketball coach Larry White it will be Sunday at the Donoho Hotel in Red Boiling Springs. Please bring any and all memorabilia you would like to share.
